SRA is one of the four companies selected to pilot a Low Cost Ground Surveillance System (LCGS) for the FAA. HITT supplies the SMGCS to SRA that is piloted in San Jose, California. The purpose of LCGS is to reduce the number and severity of runway incursion incidents at small- to medium-sized airports. HITT was the first company to complete the Factory Acceptance Test in this project well ahead of schedule.
Upon completion of pilot site evaluations and additional investment analysis, LCGS systems may be deployed at up to thirty locations. LCGS represents HITT's next step in affordable solutions for small to medium sized airfields.
