Munich A-SMGCS

Franz Josef Strauss International Airport is Germany's second largest airport, after Frankfurt, with about 34 million passengers a year. Due to the rapid increase in traffic, a third runway is now being planned.

The HITT supplied A-SMGCS includes two radars and an ERA multilateration system.

Berlin - Tegel A-SMGCS

Of Berlin's three airports, Tegel has the most scheduled flights. As part of a project for Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) that also covered the airports of Frankfurt, München, and Hannover, HITT supplied the A-SMGCS. All four systems are characterised by a very high level of availability and duplication of essential equipment, with a particular emphasis on the data links. The system automatically calculates the ATD and ATA of departing and arriving airplanes.

Hannover A-SMGCS

Hannover airport is the ninth largest airport in Germany with 5.6 M passengers/year.

HITT supplied the A-SMGCS for this airport.

Amsterdam - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines successfully uses HITT's latest Airport CDM product at almost 200 positions with various department within the company to optimize the airline operations and its ground handling services. Both at the Hub Control Centre and at the Operations Control Centre the tool shows strong benefits with regards to minimization of schedule disruption, reduction of cancellations, optimized de-icing operations and minimization of fuel burn and carbon emissions.

Taipei - Taoyuan A-SMGCS

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTY), formerly Chiang Kai-Shek Taipei International Airport, is one of the busiest airports in Asia. In the past, low visibility due to bad weather conditions frequently presented problems to controllers when monitoring movements on the airport surface and identifying potential conflicts. The new A-SMGCS supplied by HITT provides a solution to the airport’s problems and fulfils requirements resulting from the increase in traffic and operations.

Shanghai - Pudong A-SMGCS

Shanghai - Pudong Airport is located near the sea, fog occurs frequently in winter periods. In these poor visibility conditions HITT's A3000 A-SMGCS helps to maximize airport capacity without concessions to safety. Operationally, the system is split into two sectors with their own display positions: the movement area (runways and taxiways) and the apron. The system is engineered for high availability, with all safety critical components being fully duplicated.

Singapore - Changi A-SMGCS

Since its opening in 1981, the airport has made its mark in the aviation industry as a benchmark for service excellence, winning over 250 awards by 2006. The A3000 A-SMGCS is one of the tools to ensure that this level of service can be maintained in the future. It interfaces with the existing approach and ground radar systems and integrate a new multilateration system. The system is supplied with a ten-year service agreement.

Seoul - Gimpo SMGCS

With two runways and a capacity of 226 000 flights a year, Gimpo is the second largest airport in Korea. 14 million passengers pass through the airport each year. In a truly international project involving parties from the Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, Italy and of course South Korea, HITT supplied the ground movement control system.

Manchester SMGCS

The original Manchester SMGCS was commissioned to provide radar coverage of the new second runway (RWY 06/24). Several years later HITT installed a second radar to further improve coverage and a new recording and replay system with extended recording capacity was installed.

Göteborg - Landvetter SMGCS

Göteborg - Landvetter Airport is Sweden's second-largest airport after Stockholm - Arlanda. It is run by Luftfartsverket, the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration.

HITT supplied the ground movement control system and later added recording and replay facilities.
